The secret to attracting quality people

Hey there!
So it's official ...... I'm back in Nigeria.
And to be honest, this is one trip that taught me a whole new
set of things about me and what I'm capable of.
But that's a story for another day.
Yesterday I shared some gossip about a customer who wanted to know how exactly I attract high quality people as clients...
And pretty much how I moved from the guy who couldn't get anyone to pay PAY N150,000 to hire me to being the guy who charges $50,000 per private client and gets it.
Well...
Here's the secret...
It all boils down to your messaging.
And your messaging should be tailored to the values of the quality of people that you want to attract.
There's a reason I'm extra conservative online.
It's unattractive to the quality of people I want to attract.
I just got back from New Delhi...
I flew business class all the way and back...
You wouldn't see a single picture of that posted online.
I leave Nigeria pretty much every week for a day or two...
Sometimes for an entire month...
But if you're not a private client, or a subscriber to the daily mentor...
Chances are pretty high that you'd never know.
If I posted pictures of the places I've been to...
My social media would blow up...
But it would be filled with the wrong kind of people and I am fully aware of that.
You've got to be super clear about what's important to the quality of people
that you want to attract and make your that your messaging online caters to those values.
That's where everything starts.
Question: How do you do it?
There are two things you need to understand.
First is a cognitive bias called the Dunning Krueger Effect.
This essentially points out that highly talented and capable people
tend to underestimate what they're capable of.
And low talent and capable people tend to over estimate themselves.
Now here's thing...
Most people over index to the side of the mass market and what the mass market people things and says....
Smart people tend not to do so....
But sometimes, it's pretty hard to argue with masses.
And this creates confusion.
It makes them feel like something is wrong with them when in fact nothing is wrong with them.
Second thing you need to understand is something called Diffusion of Innovation.
If you google it...
You'll learn that it's about the rate at which new ideas and concepts spread through a population....
What you wouldn't see directly is this....
Diffusion of Innovation also states....
Statements that decrease uncertainty are generally classed as informative...
Whilst statements that increase uncertainty are viewed as innovative.
It’s important to realize that a statement can increase uncertainty for one person, and decrease it for another.
Not all information is actually information to everyone.
To close the gap of uncertainty for the quality of people you want to attract is to tell them that they are not broken...
And that what they know is true.
You attract high quality people by finding out what the mass market is doing....
Then find out why the quality of people you want to attract don't find those things comfortable....
And then simply confirm their stand through a series of well placed statements...
That they are right to feel uncomfortable those ideas and tell them why from the stand point of your organized intellectual property,
Now the problem with this obviously is that the moment you take a stand for the people you want to attract...
You will invariably alienate the mass market.
If you're not willing to do that...
Then you have no business working with the quality of people we are talking about.
