Today's distinction is:

“Simple things repeat. Complex things break.”

There is a reason some ideas spread around the world.

They can be remembered.

Think about:

“Just Do It.”

The Golden Rule.

The 80/20 Principle.

SMART goals.

Ideas that travel usually possess some degree of compression.

That doesn't mean it is simplistic.

It means the representation is usable.

If your people need a 47 page manual open beside them every time they execute the method, multiplication becomes difficult.

If nobody can remember the six principles without looking them up, transmission slows.

If every client requires a completely different process, systemisation collapses.

Simplicity is therefore not merely an aesthetic preference.

It is multiplication infrastructure.

The question isn't:

“Can I make this sound sophisticated?”

It is:

Can I preserve the essential intelligence while making it easier to understand, remember, practise and transmit?

That takes crazy work.

In fact, simplicity often requires more thinking than complexity.

Anyone can keep adding.

The discipline is knowing what can be removed without destroying the result.
