The race you can't win (and how to quit)

"Anyone can copy your process, but no one can copy your perspective. Sell your perspective."

Hey ,

So yesterday...

We talked about the danger of building a practice on obligation....

And the power of using the "OMG Yes or No" filter to reclaim your alignment.

But once you’ve cleared away the "shoulds,"...

A new...

Louder question often comes up...

"Okay, but how do I win? How can I be the best?"

We’re conditioned to believe that success means being the top choice in a sea of competitors.

We chase the "best" strategies...

The "best" funnels...

And the "best" client results.

Here’s the hard truth:

Trying to be the best is a trap.

It’s an exhausting..

Unwinnable race on an infinitely crowded track.

Someone will always be willing to outwork you...

Outspend you...

Or out-sacrifice you.

Chasing "best" is a surefire path to burnout and feeling like you're never good enough.

The real opportunity isn't to be better.

It's to be different.

Let that sink in.

Being "different" isn't about having a quirky gimmick.

It's about making your authentic self your core business strategy.

It’s about realizing that your unique personality...

Your specific worldview...

Your non negotiable values...

And your personal story are the most defensible assets you have.

No one else has your exact combination of experiences and beliefs.

When you lean into that...

You stop selling a commodity...

Like "coaching" or "consulting"...

And start offering something no one else can...

A transformation with you.

People don't just buy your process...

They buy your perspective.

They choose you because of the person you are.

So...

How do you start putting this into practice?

Start by taking inventory of your unique differentiators.

Ask yourself:

What's a strong opinion I hold about my industry that others might disagree with?

What's a core personal value that I refuse to compromise in my work?

What part of my personality have I been hiding because I worried it wasn't "professional" enough?

Your answers aren't liabilities..

They are your marketing plan.

They are the signals that will attract a tribe that resonates with you on a much deeper level than any sales pitch ever could.

Today...

Just pick one of those things and intentionally lean into it in your content.

See how it feels.

Of course, this raises another question...

How do you communicate this difference effectively without just shouting "I'm unique!" from the rooftops?

It all comes down to the language you use and the stories you tell.

Tomorrow...

We'll talk about how to stop sounding like a generic expert and start sounding, finally, like you.

This is The Certain Way.

Get out of your own way.

Keep walking.
