A tale of 24 seizures, 3 hospitals and one specialist consultant

Hey there!
So yesterday was quite a tripp!
It started with a call from my daughter's school administrator essentially saying "Come get your girl!!!"...
By the time I'd gotten to the school - they'd rushed here to a nearby clinic by which time she was having seizures.
Think a scene from the exorcist and you'll get a clear picture of what I got there to face.
Anyways...
I manage to get her out of there and off to my doctor...
After about two hours of trying to stabilize her with no success....
We were refered to a specialist - so off we went.
Got there and they managed to get her sedated - then I was refered again...
This time to a government facility #cringe
We got there and service was horrible - no beds (had to wait for a while to get some space so forget the private room, there were none)...
Here's the thing though - inspite of the poor infrastructure and service, they actually knew what they were doing.
Pretty soon she was stable and then they recommended a barrage of tests to pin point what was actually the problem.
They have their suspicions but need to confirm - I'll be getting full results today.
Needless to say it was a crazy night for me.
This morning as I got ready for the day - a thought flashed in my head about the events of yesterday and how I navigated the stress without actually maiming anyone...
I got the attention of someone that was relevant...
I was patient with them till I got their interest
I created a desire to help me by being agreable
And got oiut of their way so they could take the actions needed to be taken.
Ironically it's pretty much the same process St. Elmo Lewis designed for getting and converting leads: AIDA
It's the foundation for a lot of direct response copy.
Over the years without actually consciously thinking about it...
I've used this process to create demand and sell things from fufu to houses and these days high ticket coaching and consulting programs.
The difference between what I do and what othere people do is I don't do it in one move.
I consider each step it's own unique result producing process:
- You get their Attention. You send a simple 1-2 sentence email or dm or sms, designed to get the right people to pay attention.
- They express Interest by replying to the email wanting to know more. Now you’ve got a subgroup of people who have signalled their interest.
- You build Desire by giving them all the details of your offer in a 1-2 page document. Each offer is built on the same chassis, so they only take 30 mins or so to create.
- They read the offer, and take Action replying that they’re IN, and then completing their purchase.
By splitting the process into baby steps, I took St Elmo Lewis’ 1898 masterpiece, and made it simpler.
You can use it to sell coaching, courses, events and VIP days from N100k up to N100m and from $500 to $100k
With no funnels.
No tech.
And no sales team.

In my case...
It's funding hospital bills #sadface.
