[TDM] 3:59:4 and greeting from abuja
May 07, 2022 6:54 am
Hey there ,
So I got into Abuja last night...
On the cab ride to my hotel...
My driver and I had a conversation about business in abuja..
And somehow he mentioned that he'd been trying to stop smoking for a while...
I hinted that I could help him with that...
So we parked somewhere and I went to work...
Less than an hour later I was done..
Did a quick test...
And he dumped it without a puff...
He called me a miracle worker!
But it wasn't a miracle per se...
I simply helped him get out of his own way.
There's a line from the movie Dr Strange and the Multiverse of Madness:
Trust yourself. Trust your power.
Got to watch it last night with my daughter....super movie.
But that single line hit me like nothing else.
It's so easy to assume we are powerless.
It's so easy to forget that we have great power.
It's so easy to get in our own way...
Block our own success...
Simply because we don't trust ourselves enough.
The experts were proven wrong...
Conventional wisdom was overruled...
And the impossible was made possible.
This was the day Roger Bannister enforced his will over a massive
psychological barrier and became legendary.
With a time of 3:59:4, he became the first person to run a sub 4-minute mile.
His victory changed the running game forever and sent a powerful
message to those who indulge in limiting beliefs.
Doctors and scientists said that breaking the 4-minute mile was impossible...
They believed that runners attempting to do so would die in the attempt.
Bannister was not buying that crap..
And proved them all wrong.
Why?
He chose to trust himself.
Here's where things get really interesting.
Until Bannister's record setting and paradigm busting performance...
No one broke the record because they told themselves it was impossible.
Then...
Just 46 days after Bannister’s race...
Australian John Landy beat his time.
Over the next two years...
37 other runners ran a mile in under 4 minutes.
Since then...
More than a 1500 runners have conquered a barrier that had
once been considered hopelessly out of reach.
Did the human race evolve quickly into better faster runners?
Did aliens put us all to sleep and insert enhancements in humanity?
Of course not.
Their physical attributes didn’t change.
But their mindset did.
Once they believed they could, they did.
Your issues are not strategic or tactical..
They are primarily psychological.
In my opinion...
Bannister’s true legacy is one of mind over matter.
He refused to accept the limitations that defined the conventional wisdom
of his time.
It wasn’t just about competing against and out-performing his rivals.
It became about transforming what we believe is possible.
For most of my adult life...
I’ve pursued what I refer to as powerideas...
The organizing principles of lasting change and rapid transformation...
I've come to the understanding that there is a turning point in all of our lives...
A point where we say to ourselves...
Enough!
Then we wake up and take our destiny into our two very capable hands.
I believe Bannister's story is also your story.
What you do after reading this should inspire you to take action...to
face your fears and to prove to yourself that you're capable of so
much more.
What self-limiting beliefs do you need to bust through to create a breakthrough?
What belief when overcome will lead you to a life-altering transformation?
Roger Bannister used the power of his will to do what others (experts) said was to be impossible.
He became legendary as a result.
You must do the same.
The Breakthrough to Greatness Workshop kicks off next week...
And is the first part of the 90 day Make Impossible Happen program...
It's your opportunity to get out of your own way once and for all.
If you'd like to be a part of the 90 day program..
It's available to you for just N35,000 rather than N150,000...
Hit reply and let me know.
But understand..
After wednesday...
The offers off the table..
Don't say I never did anything for you
Till tomorrow...
Get out of your own way.
CTM.
