Joining me?

Hey there.
Most experts have a problem they don't realise they have.
Their best thinking is trapped inside them.
It comes out on a Zoom call.
In a workshop.
During a consulting engagement.
When a client asks exactly the right question.
And every time someone needs that thinking again…
…the expert has to show up again.
I think that is an extraordinarily inefficient way to build an expert business.
Especially now.
Because there is a difference between having expertise and turning that expertise into something other people can actually use.
That distinction has become increasingly important to me.
And it has led me to a category of intellectual property I call:
WayTools™.
A WayTool is a small piece of intellectual technology that helps someone use your expertise to produce a useful outcome.
Not merely read your ideas.
Not watch you explain them.
Not download another PDF.
Actually use your thinking.
Imagine that you are exceptionally good at spotting why projects are about to fail.
Normally, someone has to hire you, send you their information, get on a call with you and allow you to interrogate the situation.
But what if we could extract the questions you ask…
the patterns you notice…
the distinctions you make…
the things you weigh more heavily than others…
the warning signs an inexperienced person would miss…
and the logic you use to decide what someone should do next?
Then we built those things into a simple standalone tool.
A person could paste in their project requirements.
The WayTool could interrogate them.
Identify ambiguity.
Expose missing assumptions.
Flag contradictions.
Show where rework is likely to occur.
And prescribe the next questions that need to be answered.
That is no longer merely content.
It is not simply a chatbot either.
It is codified judgment.
Your expertise has begun to operate without requiring your physical presence every time.
That changes the economics of an expert business.
Think about what becomes possible.
A WayTool can be a diagnostic.
Someone uses it to understand what is actually wrong before they hire you.
A WayTool can be a prescriptive tool.
It can examine a situation and recommend the appropriate next move.
A WayTool can be an implementation tool.
It can walk a client through a process you currently have to repeatedly explain yourself.
A WayTool can be an assessment.
A calculator.
A planner.
A decision aid.
A simulator.
A scorecard.
A prompt engine.
A research tool.
A preparation tool.
Or an interactive implementation of a framework you have spent years developing.
Which means something very important.
Your intellectual property no longer has to remain static.
A book explains your thinking.
A course teaches your thinking.
A framework organises your thinking.
But a well-designed WayTool can help another human being apply your thinking to their situation.
That is a significant leap.
And I believe it creates at least four extraordinary opportunities for experts.
First, WayTools can turn invisible expertise into visible proof.
It is sometimes difficult for a prospective client to understand why one expert is dramatically better than another.
Both websites say essentially the same things.
"20 years experience."
"Proven methodology."
"Transformational results."
Okay.
But give me ten minutes with a tool built from the way you actually think…
and I can begin to experience your expertise for myself.
The WayTool becomes a demonstration.
Not:
Let me tell you how smart I am.
But:
Use this and see how I think.
That is a much more powerful form of trust-building.
Second, WayTools can become front doors into larger offers.
Imagine someone discovers a tool that helps them identify the real constraint preventing their business from growing.
They answer a series of intelligent questions.
The tool analyses the situation.
And ten minutes later it shows them:
This appears to be your constraint.
Here is why.
Here is what it is costing you.
Here are the three things I would address next.
The natural next question becomes:
Can you help me fix it?
Your WayTool has educated the prospect, diagnosed the problem, demonstrated your methodology and created a meaningful reason for a commercial conversation.
That is a very different lead magnet.
Third, WayTools create entirely new products.
Not everyone needs your ₦5 million engagement.
Not everyone is ready for your programme.
Not everyone needs access to you personally.
But someone might happily pay:
$20.
$50.
$100.
$500.
$1000
Or considerably more…
for a specialised tool that helps them make a valuable decision or solve an expensive problem.
Which means expertise that previously had only one monetisation path can suddenly have many.
You can sell the WayTool.
Bundle it with a workshop.
License it to companies.
Give it to clients.
Use it inside your programme.
Use it as the entry point into an offer.
Let partners distribute it.
Build a suite of them.
Or create an entire business around your intellectual property.
And fourth....
perhaps most importantly
WayTools force you to understand what you actually know.
Because creating a genuine WayTool is not simply asking AI:
"Build me an app."
The interesting work happens before that.
What exactly do you see that other people don't?
What questions do you ask?
What distinctions govern your judgment?
What variables matter?
What sequence do you follow?
What do you ignore?
What signals change your recommendation?
What have twenty years of experience taught you that someone with two years of experience simply wouldn't know?
That is where the value is.
A WayTool is the product at the end.
But underneath it is something much more interesting:
the codification of wisdom.
And this is where WayTools fit into the larger body of work I've been developing around The Way of the Tribemaster™.
The Way of the Tribemaster is the art and science of:
building, leveraging and monetizing trust around a proven outcome.
If you have repeatedly produced an important result, there is probably valuable intellectual technology hiding inside the way you produce it.
Your job is to mine it.
Codify it.
Make it usable.
And eventually make it possible for that wisdom to travel further than you can.
I think the next generation of expert businesses will have more than:
courses,
books,
frameworks,
coaching programmes
and consulting offers.
They will have tools.
Small pieces of software carrying the expert's judgment into the hands of the people who need it.
Tools that diagnose.
Tools that decide.
Tools that teach.
Tools that prescribe.
Tools that implement.
Tools that sell.
Tools that make the expert's wisdom useful at a scale that previously wasn't practical.
I have been building a number of these lately.
And the more I build them, the more convinced I become:
For many experts, the most valuable software company they could build may already be hiding inside what they know.
They just haven't extracted it yet.
In November I'll be working directly with a small number of people to build and install these waytools in their business.
It's $3000 per build.
But before that in October...
I'll be running a half day Build A Way Tool intensive for those of us who might not be available for the probate build.
The investment for the workshop is N100,000
If you like to be a part of it...
Reply and let me know.
I'll send you details.
Till then..
Get out of your own way
