I once worked with an HR consultant who was exceptionally good at what she did.
She knew her stuff.
The problem?
When she talked about her work, she sounded like an HR textbook.
Lots of terminology.
Lots of complicated explanations about productivity, performance, and organisational effectiveness.
All perfectly sensible to someone who understood the field.
But her prospective customers weren't responding the way she wanted.
