Introducing Edward and Fifi

Hey there!
So an amazing thing happened...
After yesterday's email...
For the very first time...
I had 100 people unsubscribe from
this list...
And about 27 send me emails...
Asking me never to contact them
again if I insisted on being so rude...
Hehehehe...

When I checked the open rates
for most of them...
They on average had opened
and read less than 15%...
Of the emails I'd sent them...
I expect some more unsubscribes..
As more Pauls and Glorias..
Find and read the email...
Hehehehe...
Today...
Let me tell you about my favorite
people...
These are the people who end up
being my customers and clients...
Their names are Fifi...
And Edward...
Fifi and Edward share the following
characteristics....
The relentlessly execute on one business
model...
The focus on value creation first..
In other words...
They are all about giving before they get.
They are true entrepreneurs...
Meaning...
They are focused on the optimization
of everything they do.
They are driven by intention, purpose
and meaning...
For them...
Money is only fuel...
It's not their destination...
It's a tool they leverage to create...
Impact and influence...
And keep score
They obsess about becoming a member
of upper echelons of their field...
(Echelons...I've been waiting for an
opportunity to use that word ever since
I first head Paul Adefarasin of House
on the Rock use it...Truly dreams can
come true...heheheh)
They are ok with steping out of
their comfort zone...
They aren't afraid to do or try
something new...
Simply because its hard at first.
They value commitment...
And are very service oriented.
They build long term enterprises..
By focusing on fundamentals...
They are not swayed by shiny
new tactics...
They understand the value of NOT
being the smartest person in the room..
So they actively invest in qualified
mentors, masterminds and
private paid peergroups...
They know the value of being inspired
by the company you keep...
They are strategic in their approach
to things...
They know what to do now...
And what to do next...
They know that learning
comes from doing...
And not from some weirdly
popular form of...
Mental masturbation...
Finally...
They are life time students.
So daily study is a life time practice.
I absolutely love Fifi and Edward...
I invite them to my place...
We hangout and go to movies...
Work is fun with these guys!
They operate very differently
from Paul and Gloria..
Fifi and Edward manage their
attraction to shiny objects...
They're not addicted.
They can control what they invest in
and what they chooses to ignore.
They dont's create isolated “money makers.”
They build builds assets.
One such asset is trust...
Which takes time and commitment to earn.
Paul and Gloria don’t see the value of going slow,
So they look for shortcuts and hacks.
Fifi and Edward driven by the need to matter.
To create work they're proud of...
And work that matters to the people they want to serve.
Fifi and Edward are successful because
They focus on the process...
The journey....
The process of showing up each day and
doing the hard work..
Not checking email and social media for
the next opportunity....
They've made a choice to not to be all things
everyone...
They understand that their job...
Is job is not to find the BIGGEST possible market....
But...
To be the big fish in a small pond...
They build a tribe of customers...
And focus on serving them like
super heros...
They know that great marketers...
Have empathy...
They actually care about what's going
on in their markets head...
They know that the Holy Grail of business...
Is a movement filled with happy customers...
Who ultimately become citizens of their brand...
Unlike Paul and Gloria who see products
as commodities..
And worst still...
See people as commodities...
They believe it is their responsibility ...
To not wait until money changes hands...
Before starting to...
Add value, contribute,
guide, advise, and protect the
people they seek to serve.
