When a slap is not a slap

Hey there!

Every now and then something happens in our lives that makes us laugh...

And at the same time provides us with a moment of extreme clarity...

Like when my youngest came crying to me saying her elder sister slapped her...

And when I asked her elser sister about it...

The response I got was...

Papa I didn't slap her. I have her a high five on her cheeks!!!

And we all burst out laughing.

It made me realize just how quickly a masterful reframe of a potentially volatile situation can very quickly turn things around.

And I've used that little PowerIdea for my benefit for years now.

The Funny Side of Life story archetype gives you the same power.

You can address incredibly sensitive subjects by simply masking your words with humour.

This is a powerful ability to develop especially when leading a tribe of people.

There are many ways to use the Funny Side of Life Archetype...

My all time favorite is poking fun at my own failures and weakness and mistakes...

Do that with the right amount of consistency and in combination with the other story archetypes and what happens is...

As people place you on a pedestal as they invariably will if you follow what I share with you in TDM...

They will not expect you to consistently sit there all the time and will give you permission to step off the pedestal and be recognized...

As the flawed leader they will happily go to war for.

That's why in the Community Mastery Methodâ„¢, we say..

Never shine the spotlight on you. But if you must, shine it on your imperfections so they remember You're human too.

Unfortunately, it's the easiest PowerIdea to forget and ignore.

By the way...

Did you notice the sneaky way I introduced PowerIdeas as vocabulary for us now?

No?

Well a PowerIdea is an idea that by itself can produce a quantum lead in the quality of results you habitually produce.

Anyways...

Here's a point I want to fully drive home...

When you think about the experiences of your life...

Consider the lessons...

And also consider the humor in them...

And share both as you tell the story.

A genius at this is the ever wonderful Dave Chappelle...

He's someone id recommend you consider studying in order to use this archetype effectively...

It's amazing how he drives home a very serious message and masks it with humor.

Now don't get me wrong...

I'm not saying take a crash course and become a comedian...

No...

I'm just saying we all need to learn to not take ourselves so seriously...

And develop the courage to laugh at ourselves and share that.

It's a powerful magnet for people.

80% of your success in the marketplace is dependent on your offer...

And since I literally just found out that today is Friday #feelfreetolaugh

I'll spend Saturday and Sunday sharing...

The 8 key parts of a perfect offer and the 6 systems you have to have in place in order to create the perfect offer.

Till then...

Get out of your own way and play a bigger game than you've ever played before.

CTM.
