Why you need to learn how to fail...

Hey there ,
I once worked with an amazing young man...
He was a footballer...
And I think he still is...
Plays for one of the local teams in Nigeria.
He had a fantastic all or nothing attitude to life and work.
The problem was whilst he could handle the all part of the equation well...
He never could manage the nothing side of things...
He was a sore loser in everything...
Things came to a head when he beat up his girlfriend for breaking up with him...
In my first session with him he said..
"When things don't go my way it's as if somebody pump dust in my brain and my head will just be hot"
Interesting metaphor...
I bring this gentleman up because...
Whilst most of us might no necessarily put out prospects in hospital for saying no...
Most of us tend not to handle it well when things do go our way...
Crazy thoughts fly into our brain and we start obsessing about them...
Next thing...
We do something we regret.
The to handling these situations in a way that empowers us to maximize each moment and opportunity...
Is to understand that we are not defined by our thoughts...
Just because you have angry thoughts..
Doesn't mean that you are angry...
And if you don't give attention to the thoughts...
Eventually they will go away.
When it comes to achieving the impossible...
This is vitally important.
Because everyday...
As you act from your goal...
You'll get feedback...
And some of the feedback can and will drive you nuts if you allow them to.
But to stay in the game and give yourself the best chance of high performance...
You can't obsess about the negative thoughts in your head.
One way to handle it is to refocus on what you want and make decisions from there...
And not from the thoughts in your head.
You don't have to feel awesome and epic in order to do awesome and epic things.
How would you approach your impossible project if you knew that you didn’t have to feel great to do great?
How would you approach your impossible project if you knew that you didn’t have to take it seriously to do a seriously good job?
Think about that as you go about your day.
Till tomorrow...
Get out of your own way.

BTW: If you're in MIH, I've got a treat for you. I secured viewing rights to the Manifestation Documentary. And it's in your course area.
It breaks down the science behind the law of attraction in a way that finally makes sense to us practical people.
