Aside from CTM, who else should be in your corner?

Hey there..
So...
Over the past two day (Saturday - Sunday)...
Rather than hang out with my girls and have great sex with my wife...
I was slaving away at a workshop with one of my favorite people.
The workshop was for a media agency and it was about helping them uplevel the quality of results they were currently producing...
Anyways...
At some point the question of consistently showing up late to work and meetings came up..
And I offered the following explanation...
Hopefully you find it useful as you plan towards 2023.
=============================================
The primary key to breakthroughs and success at multiple levels is a basic understanding of two things:
- Keep your commitment to your commitment
- How you do anything is how you do everything.
When you make a commitment of any kind and you don't keep it.
On the surface...
It doesn't seem like a big deal..
But keep doing that...
What you don't realize is that you are building an unconscious habit of not taking yourself seriously.
And once that habit locks in: YOU'RE. IN. TROUBLE.
Why?
Because you'll take that habit of not keeping your commitment to your commitment to every area of your life.
You will struggle in your practice because you can't keep basic commitments.
You'll struggle with your special someone because you can't keep commitments and so now in their eyes...
You're a liar and a cheat.
You'll struggle with your kids for the same reason and before you know it...
21 years have passed and now they don't need you...
And they invariably (if there's no intervention) carry your gift of inconsistency into their own relationships.
And let's not forget the cost to your dreams...
Because if you don't sort that habit out...
You will extend that to a chronic habit of never achieving any goal you set for yourself.
And all for what?
Because you refused to keep your commitment to showing up at work on time.
========================================================
I started with a question in the subject line:
Who else (aside from me obviously) should you have in your corner?
The answer is: YOU.
And whilst you might say that you are in your own corner...
Question: Are you keep your commitments to yourself?
If you're not...
Understand that eventually even YOU will lose faith in you.
The good thing is: It's never too late too be be better than you were yesterday.
Today is a good day to start honoring the commitments you make to yourself and to the people around you.
Make that decision to day and watch you life make a major turn around.
Tomorrow...
I'll take about 4 key practices and habits that when practiced...
Makes this whole thing of keeping your commitment to your commitment possible and sets you on an upward spiral towards greater success.
You're going to love it.
Till then...
Get out of your own way.
