How to make N600m a year selling audio CDs

So if you're a regular reader...


Or followed my work for a while now...


It's very likely that you know my PowerIdeas story.


But just in case you're just joining us...


PowerIdeas is a monthly personal and business development audio program that I published for 17 years.


Last year I sold it.


As at the time I sold it...


We had just under 4000 monthly subscribers.


For some strange reason we only cross 4000 once...


Anyways....


A year's subscription was N7000.


The average subscribe spent on average N150,000 a year on additional investments in products and services.


Some spent more.


So we're talking a pretty substantial micro publishing empire.


PowerIdeas was inspired by John Maxwell's Maximum Impact Club.


I dreamed of a day I would also perhaps have 100k plus subscribers all over the world.


A lot changed for me when I saw John take maximum impact online and completely change the format.


Ugh!


The pain!


The horror!


The betrayal!!


But....


That's therapy for another day.


Over the years...


I've always talked about how....


If I was starting over...


I wouldn't start with PowerIdeas.


And that's true.


However...


What I truly mean when I say that is I wouldn't start the way I started.


And that was to focus all my attention on making a living from my sales.


It's a hard way to go it you're starting out in the expert space and don't have a lot of money or an audience.


Over the years as I built out PowerIdeas...

Step one: Create a SolutionFrame™


Everything in the Nanopublishing model rises and falls on a well thought out SolutionFrame.


You have to validate your SolutionFrame™ before you start Nanopublishing it.


And that means you sell it and get clients who get results first.


Once you've gotten your first 5 to 10 clients great results...


You can now add Nanopublishing to the mix.


That said...


Feel free to jump this step if you already have a documented clear process.


Step two: Publish a branded series of information products based on your SolutionFrame™


This is important.


A branded series gives you the opportunity to build a tribe with an identity and implement the community building strategies I've shared with you so far.


But beyond that...


Since it's a series, it gives you the opportunity to create repeat buyers who use the series to move closer to the future you have promised.


Step three: Build community around the series and offer opportunities to work with you at premium levels


Here's a caveat to step three:


Typically the person who buys your NanoProduct™ isn't the same kind of person who will buy your $10,000 offer.


However...


A Nanoproduct™ (the branded serialized offer you Nanopublish™) gives you an opportunity to build a really focused community of buyers.


Some will eventually take you up on your premium offers.


Remember these numbers?


150, 1500 and 15,000?


And remember when we said you really don't need more than an audience of 15,000....


Well...
