When you don't have a network

Hey there!


So yesterday we talked about building connection and intimacy at scale using your own published media (AKA branded digital publication) and events.


And so far the emphasis has really been on getting clients and customers.


Specifically...


Your first set of 5 to 10 clients...


And your first 150 customers....


Remember the numbers 150, 1500 and 15,000?


Those are targets for your build out of customers.


And if you do a great job with that...


Those customers are actually a waiting list of potential clients.


QUESTION:


Where do you get the clients and customers from when you start?


Answer: Get into the habit of doing some networking every day.


There's a daily practice I encourage all of us practitioners of the Community Mastery Method to practice each and everyday...


We call it the 30mins Client Generator™...


And it's just a series of simply things you commit to doing everyday to start to get known by the right people for the right reasons....


Here they are:


  • Make an introduction to two people in your network.
  • Send a note of joy or gratitude.
  • Share an article or other piece with someone in your network. (Not your content.)
  • Introduce yourself to a new ideal prospect.
  • Offer a referral or testimonial to someone in your network.
  • Ask for a referral or testimonial from someone in your network.
  • Offer to have a sales conversation or coaching conversation with someone in your network.
  • Invite people to a presentation of your SolutionFrame™ each week


Here's the thing about these tasks.


They look small...


They look like they wouldn't move the needle, but I’ve got to tell you: every single time I've had a client actually do this for two weeks or longer...


At the two week mark, they say,


"CTM I don't know how this is really driving results. But all I can tell you is, things are changing. There is momentum. I am getting traction."


So whether it's law of attraction...


Whether it's your efforts being placed in the network.


Whether actual conversations are firing out in your network, I don't know.


But do it every single day, start today.


Because you're going to need that network when we're done with your SolutionFrame™ and you need to sell it.


NOTE: To get the kind of results possible, DO ALL OFF THE TASKS DAILY.


Don't pick and choose to do some today and others tomorrow and a few never.


It never works that way.


And typically that what people tend to do when asked to commit to these tasks.

You just simply need to commit to doing them.
