Shut up and help them think

Hey there!
So back in 2015...
Just a few months after I launched the highly paid experts network...
I snagged Kamonke (Kam) as my very first Diamond Level Member).
Kam is a billionaire and so you can imagine just how excited I was to have a person of that caliber trusting my then raggedy self.
The investment to join Diamond at the time was N2,000,000 (about $10,000 at the time).
Once I had signed him up...
My personal issues came up:
"What can I possibly teach this man?"
"How long would he stay before he left?"
"Walahi if he leaves I'll just die!!!"
Later I learned that he didn't hire me for what I could teach him...
He hired me for the quality of thinking he can access with me a facilitator for his thoughts.
That was a pretty important distinction for me.
Anyways...
Thanks to Kam...
Pretty soon I had 3 members at the diamond level and we started meeting as a group over at my place once a quarter.
I remember the first group session...
I'd finished welcoming everyone...
Let them know the goal was to plan the next quarter...
Then I launched into this presentation that was designed to impress rather than be particularly helpful...
They all politely waited for me to finish and then straight up told me to shut up and help them think!
😂😂😂😂
I didn't know whether to be embarrassed or grateful.
Anyways...
It didn't take me long to change tactics and give them exactly what they wanted and that's how the mastermind nature of the Diamond level was born.
And it's been that way since...
The only difference being that's it's invite only and you have to pass a betting process.
A Mastermind offers your clients community and peer feedback...
But you restrict membership to a much smaller group of people.
Currently the Diamond Mastermind is just 8 members strong and it doesn't look like they'll be letting anyone else in any time soon.
Now..
Unlike a group program where you are offering to solve a specific...
Narrowly-defined problem...
In a Mastermind...
The clients bring their most pressing issue at the time...
Whatever that may be...
To the meetings and get feedback...
Support...
And suggestions from other members of the Mastermind...
And from you as the expert/leader.
Ironically...
This open agenda...
The ability to work on whatever they need and tap into the experience of others who have already dealt with a similar situation...
That's actually what justifies the price tag.
That said...
It's important to note that even though it's agenda less...
Within reason, the Mastermind should still have an overarching framework that guides the thinking of members.
That's it for today.
Meanwhile...
In other news...
Yesterday I opened up a waiting list for anyone interested in joining a case study program focused on building your audience from scratch using the Community Mastery Method...
The only condition being that I would have to have a minimum of 50 people in the program...
So far...no one's joined the list.
Reminds me of back in 2016 when I promoted the 10x club and not a single soul even liked the post...
As in...
Not even my wife (And she typically "likes everything I post" at least for solidarity sake😂)
Talk less of signing up for it.
So I guess that means that's off the table.
That's one of the amazing things I love about MBEs...
(Don't know what that is? Check out TDM issue titled Practice or Business)
MBEs give you feedback in real time that is focused on the needs of those who actually care about your work.
Anyways...
As I build this out in real time with you having front row seats for my failures and successes...
I hope it inspires you to rethink what's actually possible for you..
Especially in these times.
Tomorrow...
We'll talk about done for you services...
Till then..
Play a bigger game...
Get out of your own way.
