How your brain plays tricks on you

Oct 03, 2022 7:04 am

Hey there!

When my younger brother and I first got back to Nigeria from Manchester...

We got a bit of a culture shock.

Let me explain.

You see whilst we lived with our mother...

We never quite got the sense that trying something new was a bad thing...

Rather...

Our household culture was that of consistent exploration...

Trying something new...

Do something different...

Finding out what else was possible.

Fast forward...

My mum passes...

And this African Chief who I'd hoped would be my father in law one day...

(Read yesterday's email if you have no clue what I'm talking about here)

Suddenly claims to be my very own father...

And literally ships my brother and I screaming and kicking back to Nigeria..

Once back...

It was pretty great at first...

That was until I found out the hard way...

That the culture my mother fostered for us...

That culture of trying out new things...

Being free to make big changes...

Smh...

It was very different with my new found family...

Any attempt to make a big change...

Even a positive one...

Was greeted with fear.

The intention was good..

It made sense...

I was told repeatedly that...

It was safer to keep things the same...

If there was no problem, don't do anything that might cause a problem...

If it's not broken, don't touch it.

Manage your life quietly and don't attract undue attention.

Sound vaguely familiar?

Here's the thing though...

Back when the world didn't have as much tech as it does today...

All that made perfect sense...

Back then something that was new and mysterious was more likely to ruin you or worse...

Kill you.

In today's world however...

That kind of thinking is a trap.

New stuff (all things considered) isn't necessarily going to kill you.

But staying the same is more likely to do you more harm in today's world than good...

Especially when you consider the rate at which everything is changing thanks to technology.

Unfortunately for most of us...

Our brains still make decisions based on values and beliefs that no longer make sense for the world we live in.

The result?

We miss out on the things we REALLY want...

Because our brain shuts it down in a misguided attempt at keeping us safe.

That’s why today...

I want to get your collective keep-me-safe brain to chill out by answering some of the most common questions I got about the Results Engine...

So you can know exactly what you’re getting into.

==========================================================

CTM what exactly am I getting?

Short answer: You're getting me.

I personally work with you to achieve one major goal over the next 12 weeks. Normally that would be a $10,000 investment.

CTM why are you doing this?

Err...raising funds for my annual Back to School program.

The Back to School program is for the kids in my neighborhood who don't have the same opportunities as my kids.

Every year (aside from 2020) I raise money to help them get back to school.

The funds cover school fees, books, bags, stationery, shoes and in some cases...a whole years rent and feeding money for some families.

Last year I did pretty much the same thing with the mother of all offers and that raised a good amount of money for Back to School.

The second main reason is that I'm looking for case study clients.

I'll be officially taking the Results Engine to the market in the second quarter of 2023...

By that time it would offered for $10000 on a private basis and $3000 on a group basis...

I would want some cases studies to brag about by the time I launch the program.

CTM, how much time would this program take?

Typically we meet for 60mins every two weeks and you get a strategy lesson with recommended tasks every day.

Typically the program itself should take no more than 10mins a day to go through.

The rest is the actual amount of time that you want to devote to achieving your goal.

CTM I'm interested by I don't have N500,000 or $750, can I make two payments?

Sure. As long as you complete your payment before or by the end of October 2022.

Anything later than that is totally pointless when you consider what the funds are being used for.

CTM my finances are not going the way I expected, how can I add systems and structures around everything I'm going.

Because of you I'll most likely run a series of workshops to help you set up systems around your life, money, relationships and business. Each workshop would take roughly 2 days and the investment would be about N50000 or $100.

If you take advantage of the workshops, it's a win win for both of us.

CTM I'm just starting. Will this work for me?

Absolutely! In fact if you're just starting out, this is the very best investment you can make to help you do the things you know you should be doing but you end up procrastinating on.

CTM I run a very big business. Will this work for me?

Short answer: Yes.

This works for any business, because your business still falls into one of the fundamental few business models in existence today. (Service Based, Product Based, Non-Profit, Technology, E-Commerce, Restaurants, Shipping/Logistics etc.)

CTM what if my goal isn't a business goal?

Think about it this way.

If there's a result you want to experience in your life, the Results Engine provides you with the support system needed to create that result in a way that's in alignment with your true self.

CTM how much time do I have to raise the money?

Once the program is filled...

I'm done promoting it.

CTM will I get a similar opportunity again this year?

Short answer: Nope. #veryevillaugh

The only thing I'll do and that's in November is my Start The Year Right program to help you plan out your 2023.

CTM...

Me: Biko e don do beg. No more kweshons. Hand don dey pain me.

Wanna jump in?

Hit reply and let me know.

Tomorrow I'll tell you about a client of mine who's son shouted "Mummy where's the garri!!"

Whilst she was being interviewed by BBC.

Hehehehe...if it wasn't for the grace of God, that boy would be dead now.

Folashade runs a practice that brings in $450,000 a year...

I'll share a bit about a conversation I had with her and how the same ideas you'll learn in the Results Engine keep her sane and from flushing her husband and son down the toilet.

You don't want to miss my next email.

Till then...

Get out of your own way.

CTM
