Hey there


Back when I started working with my

business mentor: Janet Switzer..


One of the first things I wanted to do

was write a book...


When I told her about it...


She asked me one question:


Victor, what's your business model for the book?


Business model?


What on earth is that?


She told me that the first thing to

do when writing a book...


Was to be clear about how exactly

that book was going to help

your business...


Writing a book just to make money from

book sales...


Is the worst possible way to profit from

a book when you are just starting out..


Especially if you have extremely valuable

knowledge and expertise...

So based on her advice..


I wrote my first book:


"Let The Cash Flow From What You Know"


And...


Because I was now clear about what I

wanted the book to do for me...


I sold it for N30,000 a copy and then

leveraged it to increase the price of my

private consultations....


That experience has never left me.


You see a book is an incredibly powerful

asset to have as an expert...


If you know exactly how to use it...


Far too many experts write a book for

vanity reasons...


And don't really take the time to

ask themselves the questions

that count...


So now I had a N30,000 book that

I was ready to take to market...


Then the second meaning of Janet's

question hit me...


You see back then...


Most printed books sold for less than

N5000...


And those were mostly foreign print

books....


How was I going to sell a N30,000

book in a town where that has

never been heard of...


Janet shared a few ideas with me...


And on the strength of that...


I ended up selling a hundred copies

of that book...


Over a 2 year period!


I can't even begin to tell you what

that did for me in terms of my

consultations...
