This morning I woke up to an email from one of my favorite clients..

And as I smiled....

I found a very disloyal tear run down my well fed just-came-back-from-abuja cheeks....

I'm talking about Nnennaya Fakoya-Smith, one of the most recognized names in the tourism space in Nigeria today...

She's also on the forefront of a number of innovations in the Nigerian tourism space...

The latest being a crowd funding platform for the tourism space.

This morning....

The email I got from her shared the fact that her Tedx talk just got featured on the Ted.com website...

Now...

Just so you understand what she's accomplished...

Let me educate you a bit...

Tedx talks are the content engine for TED.

That's pretty obvious.

But what's not immediately obvious to most people except anally nerdy people like me is this...

There are only 50 slots for Tedx videos to get featured on the website...

And 25000 Tedx videos worldwide compete for those 50 slots.

The odds of your Tedx presentation making it to TED.com is 1 in 18,000...

In fact...

It would be easier for her to wake up in the morning and become an american all star pro athlete by July next year!!!

Erm...

Ajalannene don't start getting any ideas o!

Anyways...

Bottomline....

What she's achieved is incredible...

And she's not the only one of my clients to have made it to international media...

Platforms that help them further their agenda...

I share this because...

Sometimes...

When I yak on and on about the need to cross $150,000 in revenue...

I can often come across like I'm just about the money...

But those I work with understand that....that's not what this is about at all.

Now don't get me wrong...

I have no apologies for spearheading the conversation about crossing the threshold of wealth as an expert of African decent...

But it's important for us all to understand why...

With her drive and passion...

Imagine what a visionary like Nnennaya would do for her industry if she had a million dollars...

Imagine what Modupe Ehirim would do for marriages if she was well resourced...

Imagine what a woman with the heart of Wuraola would do for Muslimahs across Nigeria if she crossed the threshold of wealth..

That's what my crusade is about.

Helping clever people like you become commercially smart so we can ultimately become powerful agents of positive change.

But then...

Beyond being commercially smart...

I find that the personal growth you experience opens you up to opportunities you never thought possible.
