Pricing to get Known vs Pricing to get Paid
Jun 05, 2020 12:00 pm
Hey there
Yesterday..
A fun question came in:
CTM when is the right time to charge high for my products and when should I charge low. I was told that when I start I should start with a low product and then increase as I go. But in one of your emails you said high price is better then you now made a 1k offer. I'm confused. Please explain.

Hmmm...delicious.
Alright...
Let's get into this...
Here's something you need to understand...
Just as there are two kinds of products...
There are two ways to think about pricing...
First....
You can price products as a way to get into a
market and get known by your ideal prospects...
Second...
You can price products in order to be able to
quickly grow your business and easily support
your preferred lifestyle.
When most of us think about pricing....
We only think in terms of generating an income...
And as a result of that very small kind of thinking...
We limit the opportunities we have to grow...
Now concerning the question that was sent in...
When you're starting out in the Expert space...
It's a big mistake to assume that just because you
are starting out...
You should start at the bottom...
My advice...
Start at the top or as close to the top as possible..
As far as the pricing of your main offers are concerned...
Always...
Always...
Charge what the market can bare...
Not what your peers recommend.
It's easier to get to N40m ($100000) a month with twenty $5000 offers...
Than with a four thousand N40k ($100) products.
In fact...
If you want to be profitable real quick...
Make sure your main product brings in N1.2m ($3000)
per client a year...at the minimum.
Now the big question is this:
If you're just starting out and nobody knows you...
How do you get them to cough up N1.2m ($3000)...
One way is to be extremely great at presentations and
having enrolling conversations...
By the way we talk about that in Day 3 of my upcoming
Brand Acceleration Workshop...
Another way is to create an experience that not only
gives them results in advance...
But also positions you to be able to turn your marketing
into a profit center...
And that's where your low ticket or low priced offers come in.
Like I've mentioned in previous emails...
First...You build an audience...
Then you use low priced products to separate your customers
from your general market and audience...
Then you focus on building a relationship with your
customers so that you can turn them into clients.
And just in case you're wondering about the difference..
In the Community Mastery Methodâ„¢..
The word customer is used to refer to people who buy
from you but you do not assume responsibility for...
The word client refers to those people who for all intents and
purposes you have taken into your care and protection.
The difference is the depth of intimacy and connection
in the relationship.
Yesterday...
I suggested strongly that your singular goal as a practitioner
of the Community Mastery Methodâ„¢...
Is to create and keep Customers....
Why?
Because customers become clients...
And clients bring stability and growth to your business.
So...
To be clear...
It's not about which pricing method is best...
Or whether high ticket is better than low ticket...
It's about purpose...
And as far as the Community Mastery Method is
concerned...
You need both...
