[CMM101] The 3 Key's To Building Trust Online

May 29, 2020 12:00 pm

Hey there

It's the Chief Tribemaster here...

Over the past few days I've shared with you what the real

fundamentals of marketing online are...

Based on the Community Mastery Method™...

We've talked about the value of clarity and how it's critical

to being known...

We've talked about consistency and how it's the key to

getting attention and being liked by your audience online...

Today...

I want to share with you what it takes to build trust online.

Trust online is pretty much the same as trust offline...

It all boils down to the faith your market has in your

character and competence.

So to generate trust online...

Do everything to get your market to have confidence in your

ability to deliver what you promise and also in your integrity

as a person.

But...

Before I break all that down...

A question came in yesterday:

===============================================

Hi Victor,

Thanks for your mail. just thinking, Is a weekly show up to 74

members and counting, sharing insights on workplace issues

strategy enough

===============================================

I wasn't too clear on the question so I asked:

"I'm not clear on your question though. Are you asking if a weekly

show with 74 attendees sharing insights on workplace issues

is a good strategy?"

To which the response was"YES"

So I asked a few more questions to get more context:

Me: How long have you been in business?

Her:Since Nov 2019.- 6 months

Me: What have the results from the weekly show been like in

terms of revenue generated?

Her: No revenue yet as i have been focusing on creating content

consistently for the past 7 weeks to build trust.

Me: What impact has the show had on your business so far?

Her: lols @ show.

Group has grown from a dormant 50 membered

whatsapp to 74 members in 4 weeks.

With members inviting their friends and colleagues.

I have received some testimonials as well to confirm that they are

getting value.

I started off with a Boss Management training(free) in Nov 2019,

thereafter i decided to widen the niche to cover workplace matters

when covid began.

Next week is testimonial Thursday , they get to share their learning

points and what changed, so far from the weekly online sessions.

Me: What are you hoping to accomplish with the show?

Her: Build trust with my audience enough on the subject, grow my

audience and then offer coaching sessions and Relevant Online

training offerings for Entry and Mid-Level Employees at the workplace.

Here's what I recommend to her and for anyone else just starting out...

First understand that when you're just starting out...

Cashflow and revenue is vitally important....

So prioritize that.

Second...

Get very clear on who you're targeting and what their needs

are.

Third...develop an offer that solves a very important and valuable

problem that they are willing to pay for.

Fourth...promote a weekly training where you teach topics that are relevant

to your market.

Fifth...at the end of each training...make them an offer for your core

product.

Since you're running it on whatsapp...

Send out a broadcast at least three times a week and take

advantage of your whatsapp status to build your connection with

them.

REMEMBER:

You want your market to know, like and trust you as the go to

person for solving a specific problem...

Not as that person that "sends or shares great content on a topic"

Most people really don't know the difference.

I hope that helps

=================================================

So back to our conversation...

In creating trust online...

There are three things to focus on.

The first is authenticity...

And that means being the same person online

as you are offline...

It also means you’re being honest with your audience about what’s

really going on in your life and business.

It means being real.

It means being willing to be vulnerable.

And letting people see your humanity.

The second thing is caring.

And that means paying attention to your market.

Having conversations with them...

Caring enough to really truly connect with your market place.

The third thing is deciding to lead a movement.

Stepping up as a leader generates amazingly high levels of trust.

So now you know.

Tomorrow...

I'll share with you the three assets that approaching marketing

this way create for you in your market.

Till then...

Play a bigger game.
