IT'S NOT ABOUT YOUR RESOURCES...IT'S ABOUT YOUR RESOURCEFULNESS.

Hey there
So you probably noticed I didn't send you an email yesterday...
Truth be told...
I thought I did...
Didn't figure that out until I was smack in the middle of yesterdays bonus session for my BAW students.
But to be honest...
I really don't feel like apologizing...
So what I'm going to do instead is ask you to pretend you got an invisible email from me yesterday...
And leave it at that..

To compensate...
Sort off...
Lemme share this...
Professor Paul Zane Pilzer ...
A senior economic advisor and internationally acclaimed author says
a resource is only defined by our ability to use it.
In other there are no resources without resourcefulness.
The only reason oil is a resource is because we are resourceful enough to use it for so many things.
Before we understood how to use it...it was nothing more than a black mess!
In the past 5 years I've conducted hundreds of actionplan consultations for lots of extremely talented individuals...
Based on what I've learned about people in that time...
I've come to the conclusion that most of us are standing on "oil wells of opportunity" that are just waiting for us to become resourceful enough to see them.
I believe to a large extent that everything we need is on the other side of resourcefulness.
Like Steve Harris would say:
It's not what you don't have that limits you...its what have but don't know how to use.
No matter what you need in your business or your life...
Getting it will be a function of your resourcefulness rather than whether the resources that are available.
Your resourcefulness is determined primarily by three things...
First are the questions you ask.
Like I've shared many times...
Your brain is preprogrammed to provide answers to questions.
If you insist on asking it stupid disempowering questions like "why am I so stupid?" or "why doesn't anything ever go right for me?" ...
You brain will give you very compelling answers.
Learn to use your brain better by learning to ask better questions.
Second is the people you know.
One of the primary benefits of being the founder of the highly paid experts network is that I get to hang around absolutely brilliant people.
My association with people gifted in areas that I'm not gifted in opens up possibilities in my mind that actually never occurred to me.
For instance...
A few years back I was chatting with Lesijolu Eite who is a genius at helping people turn their desires into tangible reality...
During the conversation...
She used the word Amplifier to describe me and what I do...
Prior to that time I'd been struggling with choosing a word I could use in my Positioning Matrix™ to sell a program I'd launched for Medium sized businesses.
(Just in case you're wondering...the Positioning Matrix™ is a tool I developed to help experts effectively and elegantly answer the question: What do you do?)
Anyway...
The moment she dropped that word...everything clicked.
Immediately we got done...
I completed my matrix and got on the phone to pitch the program to a subscriber to my Powerideas program...
I got a presentation with the board the next week and started negotiating terms of the contract...
Naturally I got the job...
Without Eite...
I probably wouldn't have been able to have the conversation.
Was that the first time I'd heard that worded used to describe me?
No.
But that was the very first time I'd heard it pitched to me in a way that was meaningful and relevant to a problem I wanted solved.
So...
Expand your network of quality people.
Do everything possible to constantly be around and have access to quality people.
Third is your willingness to stretch into the unknown.
Time and time again my progress and success are always found on the other side of my fears and concerns.
Most of us might not agree with me on this...
But I'm not a particularly bright guy.
There are some many people who can run circles around me...
Its literally embarrassing.
But the one thing I've got going for me is the willingness to take action afraid...
Its the willingness and ability to commit to a dream without any guarantee of success.
And while more talented people waste time second guessing themselves and waiting for perfect situations...
I'm out here failing and falling flat on my face and embarrassing myself each and every day...
But guess what...
You can only fail so much before you start learning what works for you and what doesn't...
And once you've figured that out...
Good things happen and all of a sudden...
Smart people start thinking you're a genius...
Hehehehe #suckers
So...bottom line...keep your commitment to your commitment...even when it's hard...
You'll be better for it.
Get more resourceful and you'll find more resources at your disposal than you ever thought possible.
Let me know your thoughts.
