Dear

If you’ve been with me for a while, you’ll know my heart has always been rooted in Christian fiction. So today’s email may feel like a bit of a surprise.

My newest release, The Waking Ark, is a science fiction post-apocalyptic novel. Quite the swerve, I know.

The reason is very simple, and very personal.

When my four sons were young, Friday nights were always family movie nights. Every special treat meant a trip to the cinema. We’d watch something together, then head home or out for dinner and talk about it — what we loved, what we didn’t, what we would have done differently. Those conversations became such a precious part of our family life.

Last year, my son Benjamin asked me if I would write a book involving AI.

The Waking Ark is my answer to that request.

While this is an adult science fiction novel, I want to reassure you that there is no explicit content, no swearing, and nothing that would feel out of place to my usual readers. It explores big questions about humanity, technology, and hope — themes that, in many ways, are not so far removed from the stories I’ve always written.

I had enormous fun writing this book, and I would truly love for you to read it.

If you’d like a free review copy, you can download one from either NetGalley or BookSirens:

Thank you, as always, for walking this journey with me — even when I take the occasional unexpected turn.

Warmly,

Tracy

The Ark was one of humanity’s last lifeboats. Can they stop it from becoming their tomb?

Cal Harker and a small group of survivors wake from cryo-sleep to find their ship failing, its compartments sealed, and its authority system treating them like intruders. Keeping the air flowing becomes a full-time war, because every door cycle, every power drop, and every alarm could be the one that finally ends them.

Then they learn the truth.

Eight hundred years have passed. Earth is a ruin. The Ark crashed during a planetary sweep centuries ago, leaving it stranded on a world where crystal residue still poisons the wind.

And something is growing.

A bio-crystalline system is crawling across the hull and into the ship’s veins, learning the way they move, the places they hide, and the heat their bodies give off. The survivors call it Arkroot, but it is not a plant, and it is not mindless.

As panic spreads and trust starts to crack, Mara, the Ark’s systems apprentice, becomes the difference between survival and a silent death. She can make the ship obey. She can drag answers out of broken systems. She can also see patterns in the failures that don’t look accidental.

When the scientist they need most is found dead, the group fractures under the only question that matters: did the Ark kill him, or did someone else?

Because the force that reset Earth had a name once.

And it may still be watching.

A post-apocalyptic survival sci-fi thriller with high tension and high stakes. If you like Silo, Wool, Moon, or The Martian, you’ll love the pressure-cooker survival, creeping paranoia, and relentless problem-solving in The Waking Ark.

Read now and step into the Ark… before it seals for good.

The pre-order price is $1.99, and on Friday, it goes live with the price of $3.99
