Hi I hope you're well and life is good. I have found some books that are on offer that might help take your mind off the world's troubles at the moment - if just for a little while. I find the news frightening at the moment, and sometimes I can't take it all in. I need to switch off, and that's why I'm a passionate reader. Hopefully, I have included a book to tempt you to escape for a while, curl up on the sofa with a nice cuppa (maybe a piece of chocolate) and a real page-turner!

The first book on offer is one of mine. A White Christmas in Berrycombe might be set at Christmas time, but I love a good Christmas story all year round!

My Latest Book Review

The book is quintessentially English in its setting, character analysis, and humour. That’s the only reason I can see why someone (maybe outside of the UK) would mark it down.

I chuckled a lot and laughed out loud several times. I also cried twice—which surprised me—and that shows how Molly James’s writing truly reaches into readers’ hearts. The book addresses various issues, including poor self-image and unrequited love, and explores why women make the partner choices they do.

Set in Torquay, the author brings in local attractions and history (like the fact that Agatha Christie was the first woman to water board there, I love facts like that).

I loved the friendship between Rena and Nat, and my favourite line from the book is when Nat says, ‘What could be more special than seeing my best friend find true love?’

Life rarely lives up to dreams and fantasies, but if you want to escape reality and dive into a little magical realism with a wonderful, happy ending, I highly recommend One Day to Fall in Love.
