I've been thinking about the word "should" lately, mostly because the internet seems to be absolutely full of it.
I should meal prep. I should organize my pantry. I should have a better morning routine, post more often, declutter, prepare, optimize, start another income stream, launch something new, and apparently form a very strong opinion about whether I should or should absolutely not be using AI.
At this point I'm half expecting someone to explain that I've been folding my towels wrong and that this, somehow, is the reason my life isn't fully optimized.
Whatever I'm currently doing, someone somewhere seems perfectly happy to tell me how I could be doing it better. And, rather conveniently, a surprising number of these "shoulds" come with a shopping list attached, which feels especially useful when everything already costs too much.
I feel this most on the business side right now. There is so much advice floating around about making more money, and I understand why. Find more clients. Add another service. Create a product. Build another revenue stream. Launch something new.
