Every Successful Person Has These 2 Traits...But What Are They?

Hey ,
I hope you have had a great week! I just wanted to share with you some things that are going on in my life and encourage you.
😀 Updates:
- I wrote my last exam of year 2 of medical school and now have begun our 2 weeks of our transition to clerkship curriculum. After this week I will be shadowing a general surgeon at the Civic Hospital in Ottawa.
- I am getting married in LESS than 1 month (time goes by fast).
- My goal is to provide helpful content on social media and through this newsletter more consistently.
😎 Encouragement/Motivation:
There are two traits that I noticed the MOST SUCCESSFUL people have. This applies to any area of life. It applies to being a doctor, a teacher, to being a good partner in a relationship, and to improve yourself. Can you guess what they are? ![]()
The first trait that successful people have is that they are DECISIVE
. They know what they want and don’t want because they have clarity. So when an opportunity arises, little energy is spent on thinking and wondering about all the possibilities in the universe. If the person wants to improve their relationship, they look at what is the next best step they can take and they DO IT. If a doctor needs to treat a patient or order a lab, they don’t sit there and ponder the hundreds of tests available, they pick the best one and order it. If you’re slow to decide, you’re slow to grow, and that will slow you down in every other area of your life. ![]()
The second trait that successful people have is that they are COMMITTED. Once they make a decision, they follow through with it. When the going gets tough, they don’t jump ship, they don’t hope for something better to come. Once they realize the value in something, they commit themselves to make those changes, to LEARNING, to taking ACTION, to engaging in COMMUNITY. Think about the people who inspire you the most, they had to have made decisions to get where they are and commit to sticking it out through thick and thin. ![]()

- I've been listening to a lot of Ed Mylett's podcast recently. I really enjoyed his latest one with Tim Grover who coached Micahel Jordan and Kobe Bryant as they talked about this new book 'Winning'.
