Instagram LogoHeya! It's been a while since I introduced myself so here we are! I'm Abigail (Abi, AbiKay, or just Abigail coz I'm boring like that. But you got a new name I might answer. 🤣) I'm a small biz/small press owner and I just started @beyondthebookery which launched in February. BtB's first batch of items is officially launching in March! I am the oldest of 8, daughter of a USAF veteran dad, and a homeschooling realtor momma, proud owner of the cutest hedgie in the world, part owner of our family's elderly beagle mix who we adopted after she was rescued from a really bad place, young Great Pyrenees who we rescued after he ran in front of our bus and followed us home literally (hoping to have a new puppy soon as Bartholomew "Bear" needs a buddy!!!), our adorable Lionhead rabbit, and a bundle of the cutest chicks (because eggs are expensive and who doesn't love having animals?!). My family moved across the country from outside of D.C. to Oklahoma last year it's been a crazy wonderful year. I've been writing and blogging since I was 15. I'm the author of a published novella, a short story in an anthology, and I published two anthologies with the amazingly awesome M.L. Milligan! We're working on publishing two other anthologies this year. I am also working on publishing a novel in November. Random stuff about me: - I love cooking and baking - Drawing is a favorite hobby - Coffee runs in my veins - Chocolate (dairy-free/gluten-free) bribes are nearly always accepted (unless a crime was committed... maybe.) - I dream of owning a farm by the time I'm 24-30 - Formatting is my favorite thing to work on when publishing a book Share a random fact about you in the comments! P.S. I'm joining KDWC again. Will I see you there?!
Instagram LogoUpdate and my new favorite meal! First off, my temporary job is more hours than I had even hoped for... Which is great. But it means I'm going to be busier than expected. So I'm not disappearing completely, I am going to practically be on hiatus. I will share about Seize the Love upon it's release and a few books I'm excited to see released. But I won't push to do something big right now so I'll see you when I see you until mid to late April. 💕 Secondly, Seize the Love releases on Valentine's Day!!! 💕 Third, I have some super exciting news I hope to share this spring/summer. It's going to be amazing! Fourth, this has up until now been my author account. It will stay that way, but the more and more I work on all of the behind the scenes I am seeing that this isn't ONLY an author account. So, it's my life account. Depending on how things go with my current project that I hope to announce in this spring/summer I may start a second account. . While I've had to adjust my schedule and how I spend time with work, one thing I've done as much as I can is cooking and baking. Today's try was (Dairy free and gluten free) Creamy Garlic and Lemon Chicken Pasta. It turned out amazingly! So yummy. Ingredients | 1 head of garlic and an onion roasted until golden in the oven wrapped in tin foil. 1/4 butter from @miyokoscreamery, and cream cheese from @kitehillfoods with spices (oregano, basil, salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder, and a sprinkle of cayenne powder, 1/2 cup of @followyourheart parmesan cheese. Add the slightly cooled roasted garlic and onion mixing until combined and slightly melted. Add 1/2-1 cup of chicken broth and a dash of lemon juice and let cook on medium until the pasta is ready. Ready a serving or two of @taste_republic spinach pasta, add to sauce. For chicken you will want to cook in a pan with coconut oil, add the same spices, when nearly finished, remove from pan, slice in half so you have two halves. Return to pan with a few tablespoons of lemon, allow to finish. Slice and top the pasta. In the pan, add a bit of chicken broth, stir the yumminess from the pan, add two tbsp of lemon allow to boil a moment then pour over plated meal.
