But Not You

Hi there,

Sometimes a good quote is all we need.

Let others lead small lives, but not you.. Let others argue over small things, but not you… Let others cry over small hurts, but not you...Let others leave their future in someone else’s hands, but not you.”

― Jim Rohn

Read that last sentence again. This is what it made me think about.

Working for someone else.

In my case, idiots.

Complete fools.

Lousy businesspeople.

I Was Leaving My Future In My Boss's Hands

My last job (in 2000) was not pleasant. I really did work for a jerk. An abusive one. A yeller. Working for this guy sucked. And it changed me. How?

I became an angry guy. I was miserable.

Then I was fired.

Thank goodness! It was such a relief.

And although I was full of fear when it happened...and I didn't know what I was going to do, I found out what I didn't want to do anymore.

I didn't want to work for a jerk. Ever again.

On January 1st, 2001, I joined my dad's franchise consulting firm.

And ever since then, I don't have to leave my future in someone else's hands.

Your Path

Is there a way for you to put your future in your own hands?

One way to do that is by owning your own business.

Another way is by getting a large inheritance.

And yet another way is to win the lottery.

I can only help you with the 1st way.

But only when (and if) you want it.

Should we talk?

"Early on, when I was quite young and going from job to job, I was foolish enough to sometimes speak to my fellow workers: 'Hey, the boss can come in here at any moment and lay all of us off, just like that, don't you realize that?' They would just look at me. I was posing something that they didn't want to enter their minds."

- Charles Bukowski
