HELLO ,
Long time, no...see...talk...read? Sorry it's been so long. I'll be honest...June, July, and even most of August has pretty much gotten away from me and I've been terrible at getting newsletters sent out. So I apologize for that.
But! I do have some news which I'm excited to share with you!
Here is the rundown of what you'll find in today's email:
- Writing update!!!

Welcome back to Fab Fiction Friday where I share books and authors I think you'll love as well as update you on my writing journey!
WRITING UPDATE
I actually have some news this month!
I typed THE END on When Forever Stays! Unfortunately, or fortunately--depending on how you look at it--typing THE END did not equal a ready-for-my-editor manuscript.
My critique partners have given me tons of feedback that I've been implementing during the most recent round of edits. These additions have actually helped turn this novella into a novel! (For reference When Forever Comes is somewhere around 31k words) as of right now When Forever Stays is at 54k words!
This story has been the hardest I've ever written but my prayer is that God uses it for His glory and hopefully to help women learn how to find their worth and contentment in Jesus.
I do not have a release day (or month) yet, but hopefully I will have one for you in my next newsletter!
BOOKS FOR YOUR TBR
I may or may not have read these books, but you can always count on them to be clean!
First comes a lifelong crush, then comes . . . a marriage of convenience to her sister?
Marrying Lois Jones was the only future Bram Baxter ever planned for. Until she returns home from Europe with another man’s ring on her finger. Devastated, Bram struggles to envision a different future for himself. When Lois’ sister, Quinn, receives an unexpected medical diagnosis, Bram offers to help in any way he can.
Quinn Jones is the thread that has held her family together since her dad’s death. Until a trip to the doctor brings her life to a screeching halt. Grappling with a new diagnosis, Quinn’s determined to not let it slow her down. But with her funds dropping into a bottomless pit of medical bills, Quinn finds herself at a place she never could have imagined.
At the altar. With Bram.
When Bram and Quinn learn the hard way that love is a choice, will they choose each other?
*Bram Baxter Marries the Wrong Sister is a sweet, Christian romantic comedy full of faith, laugh-out-loud moments, and a tender, minty romance that will make your toes curl*
A detective struggling to put down roots. A single mother fighting to make ends meet.
Former homicide detective Jaxson Payne knows a thing or two about starting over. His marriage imploded after he broke his back serving as a Marine overseas. He was told he’d never walk again. However, he was back on his feet within months, proving his resilience is only outmatched by his faith.
After moving to Hope Springs for a fresh start, he’s hoping to finally close the door on his past. But it seems the ghosts that still haunt Jaxson have followed him here, bringing danger to his front door.
Margot Anderson had her entire life planned out. Then her husband left her and their thirteen-year-old son. She’s spent the last year holding their lives together with prayers and a positive outlook, and then a former Marine moves into her B&B.
Jaxson Payne is everything she should avoid. He’s handsome. Strong. And her older brother’s best friend. But as danger sets its sights on her, Jaxson is her shield, making it clear that there is nothing he won’t sacrifice for her and her son.
If you are looking for a sizzling (but not spicy!) romantic suspense, with a protective Christian hero, a small town that protects their own, and a team of wounded veterans turned private security officers, then Tactical Revival is for you!
This Christian Romantic Suspense deals with:
-Coping with trauma
-Discovering your worth
-Seeking God in everything
-Healing from your past
The Coastal Hope series can be enjoyed in any order!

@TAWNISBOOKSHELF SPOTLIGHT
In here I will choose a book to highlight and share it with you! Every book I share here has been personally read and vetted by me.
This week's book is:
Juniper Bean Resorts to Murder by Gracie Ruth Mitchell:
Love, laughter, and a dead body...
Juniper Bean has big plans for her writing career. Swoony kisses, sigh-inducing happily ever afters—she’s going to write them all.
There’s just one problem: she can’t seem to stop killing off her main characters.
After accepting that a genre change is in order, Juniper sets out to do some research. What’s the best way to carry a dead body? How exactly does one pick a lock? Juniper is going to find out—with the unwilling help of her new roommate, Aiden.
But Juniper’s plans go haywire when she stumbles across an actual, real-life dead body—and before she knows it, she and Aiden are thrust into the middle of a murder mystery that seems suspiciously tied to Juniper’s past.
Who killed the girl in the woods? Can Juniper ever get the hang of mystery writing? And, perhaps the biggest question of all: Why the heck does Aiden look so good in a tweed jacket?
MY REVIEW
Oh my goodness, this book was SO MUCH FUN! I loved every second of getting to know these characters. This is my first cozy mystery romcom and I want more more more of them! I loved the multi-layered mystery plot, the quirky heroine Juniper, the grumpy hero Aiden, and the journey they go on to find a murderer all while finding Juniper’s father.
The characters were a blast and their banter top notch. Juniper’s second chance with Aiden was equal parts heart warming and hilarious. I loved them so so much! Despite the funny parts of the book, there were definitely some heavy topics tackled but it was done with heart and respectful humor.
The twist was solid and the layers of the story peeled back slowly and perfectly. I can’t wait to start the next book in this series!!
