Hello

In my last newsletter, I talked about how and why to do a boundaries checkup. I hope everyone had a chance to complete and learned exactly where your boundaries need strengthening.

When I discovered I had to breakup with my old childhood stories, fears, and people pleasing, the very first step was setting boundaries.

The Big Problem: I had no idea what a boundary was or how to set one let alone enforce it.

I was not taught as a child about boundaries of any kind. Not having boundaries set me up for a lot of disappointment, hurt, toxic relationships, and abuse.

Self-care was labeled as selfish and not necessary in my family. You did everyone's bidding. No rocking the boat or being a prima donna (that's what my sisters loved to call me!).

I know from personal experience and from my client's experience, boundaries and self-care are areas needing the most shifting, healing, and growth!

I want to give you a nice place to start and as you all know, I am the biggest supporter of journaling. The path to personal discovery is in your writing. Your writing will bring up sensations and emotions - pay attention to what's happening to your emotionally and physically while you write. Make mental notes about what you're feeling and experiencing.

Sit quietly and be honest and vulnerable in your responses. Let it flow naturally and without judgement.

Journal Prompts - Self-Care and Boundaries (change you to I)

How do you recharge?

How can you celebrate yourself today?

How do you advocate for yourself?

How will you make showing up for yourself a daily habit?

How do you forgive yourself when you make a mistake?

What do you want your life to look like? (in general or long-term)

What would it mean to you to have boundaries that support you?

If you could set any boundary at all, and not worry about the consequences, what boundary would you choose?

What boundary do you secretly want to set but you're a little afraid to?

Hit reply and let me know how you're doing and what you're processing!
