It's my birthday today and the abuser had sold me the dream of amazing celebrations of our anniversay and my birthday every year for the rest of my life. I married him the day after my birthday because I believed him!

We booked a trip to Paris for our honeymoon/first anniversary/my birthday and the plan fell apart in spectacular fashion. He took his girlfriend to Paris and I spent my birthday alone in a furnace room after he tried to kill me. Hardly the dream he had promised.

But I took Paris back and my birthday and now no one can take them from me!
