I have been watching and listening to the controversy surrounding the movie It Ends With Us and more particularly, Blake Lively's response to a question in an interview.

"You are so much more than just a survivor or just a victim. And what someone has done to you doesn't define you. You define you."

She has been accused of dismissing the trauma of the domestic violence, of diminishing victims, and of not having lived experience and shouldn't have spoken out.

Well, I loved her statement! It is a powerful truth. I want to explore her statement and share with you my opinion and why I feel the way I do.
