Hello! Let's chat about societal norms. What they are and how they keep us stuck or small.
I was faced with a huge societal/family norm when I was a young woman of 26 years. I was unmarried without children. Working on my career which was on the leading edge of tech. I was in high-demand, making fabulous money, and dreaming about my future.
But my plans were not in line with societal/family norms:
Me - I want to travel the world, meet new people, taste new food, listen to new music, be free to explore.
Societal/Family - you want to get married and have babies and be a good mom.
