Hi

I am so grateful for all your well-wishes while I was recovering from a terrible bout of the flu. I am feeling much better and I'm happy to be back at work!

While I was recuperating, I watched a ton of tv and I noticed how the media remains complacent in continuing to normalize domestic violence. When I say media I mean music, video games, tv shows, movies, advertisers - all media that is consumed by men and women.

Domestic violence is at record highs. We have barely scratched the surface with our one-couple at a time strategy. And it's almost impossible to keep someone away from the abuser when they're seeing something in the media that causes them to think, Hey, my relationship wasn't that bad - I think I'll go back

In this video, I chat about this issue and it's big. Do I have the answer - no. But I would love to hear from you about what you think we as a society need to do to get DV out of popular culture and mass media.

Break Free from Your Social Scripts - April 6th at 2 PM EST - are you living your life based on social scripts passed on to you by family, religion, culture, media or society? In this live masterclass, we will chat all about social scripts. You will learn a lot about how you respond/react and why it is difficult to silence the voices. When you understand your social scripts, you can begin to overwrite them with the rules you want to follow.
