Hello!


Anxiety! We have all felt it at various times and intensities. But what is anxiety and how can we reframe it as a friendly warning system?


I can remember the anxiety I felt every time I stepped outside. Would the red jeep be around a corner waiting for me? Would I bump into his new girlfriend? Would I be triggered by something I heard, saw, smelled? I would fret endlessly about leaving the "safety" of my furnace room where everything was in my control. Out there not so much!


Remember when you were waiting for the abuser to come home and your anxiety was at its peak? That was because you were feeling unsafe not knowing what the mood would be.


Anxiety is our friend and when we understand how to view it as a resource, it will support your healing journey.
