How to Celebrate your complex emotional layers [the Sunday Shift]

In a world where emotions are as complex as they are diverse, let's explore the beautifully intricate tapestry of women's experiences. You do not have to feel only one emotion. In fact, that's unhealthy!
It is healthy and empowering to acknowledge your complexity and know you can embody seemingly contrasting emotions simultaneously. You have the remarkable ability to feel gratitude and acknowledge blessings, and harbour a sense that something profound may be missing.
Big healing shifts will be made when you embrace your complex emotional being by adding "and".
What if you began to look at things from the middle? Using "and" to see that two (or more) things can be equally true at the same time.
You are resilient and need a break
You are kind and have boundaries
You are healing and you need time
Others have it worse and your pain is valid
You did your best and now you know more
You are independent and still need others
You are grateful and something is missing
From these examples you can see how adding "and" helps us clearly see both sides at the same time. You don't have to be something to the exclusion of something else.
Write down your own list of "ands"; ones that resonant with you. Do you find yourself thinking I want to feel positive/happy but I'm so depressed and unhappy? Change it to I feel positive about so many things in my life and I'm feeling unhappy and discouraged by how long I feel my healing is taking. These two feelings, emotions, and thoughts are equal and valid.
