Good Morning! Back-to-back no-reserve Carrera GTs have really given us a sense of the market leading into the spring auction season. More below on the state of the CGT market.

- I got pretty far into the list today before seeing a no-sale. Not gonna lie, I was thinking 100% for a bit there. Instead, we finished the day at a strong 86% with one particular car accounting for over half of the dollar volume for the day.

SPOTLIGHT

It's been a hot minute since our last Carrera GT update as sales pittered out towards the second half of the year as the majority of cars brought to market failed to meet reserves reminiscent of the spring and 2021. But this 2005 Carrera GT, like our last one, was listed at No Reserve to let the good times roll and see what the market bears.
Our last No Reserve CGT sold earlier this month for $1,290,000. The car had a full luggage set, a Terracotta interior, and 14,000 miles. Our Spotlight car finished in GT Silver over Dark Grey (black) leather has 8,000 miles, an aftermarket exhaust, and 5 out of the 7 pieces of luggage. I guess a previous owner wanted a memento.
At $1,235,000, yesterday's sale is on trend with a softening market as this car had almost half the miles of the last sale. The color combination, missing luggage, and aftermarket probably hurt the sale a bit, but not to the tune of $55,000.
I for one can't wait to see what the New Year brings as we'll see a 3,300-mile example that has been repainted Red, a 4,900-mile Basalt Black car, and a 13,000-mile Seal Grey car all cross the block in January.
NOTEWORTHY SALES
- The run of low mileage 996 C4S sales has come to an end with this 2003 911 C4S Coupe failing to sell at $50,000. Looks like the market has been satisfied.
- Finally, a non 'Package' 964 Turbo has sold. Looks like all it took was something other than Black as this Red 1992 911 Turbo sold for $176,000 yesterday.
- This first-year 991 Targa 4 GTS pulled strong numbers due to its low mileage and great spec.
NEW LISTINGS
- We will see if this Subaru-powered 356 Replica by JPS Motorsports can reach its 2021 winning bid of $51,550.
- Low miles and a fabulous color combination of Guards Red over Natural Brown leather should pull strong numbers for this 22,000-mile 2001 911 Turbo Coupe. Only downside... Tiptronic.
- The real RS we never got here in the States. Good thing cars like this 1992 Carrera RS are over 25 years old now.
