Good Morning! The market is back to normal volume rise but the real kicker... not a single 2022 car was able to find a new home. The flippers flopped once again.

If you've ever wondered where the entry point into a running, drivable, doesn't-need-to-be-rebuilt 997 is, it's right here where this 139,000 2005 911 Cabriolet 6-speed ended yesterday at $21,000.
Besides the price, for a 139,000-mile car, this example had a lot going for it with service records since new and $14,000 in maintenance performed since March 2020. On the other hand, two accidents on the CarFax, and no mention of the IMS bearing being upgraded in all of those invoices definitely kept this drive from creeping closer to $25k.
Honestly, I wouldn't worry too much about the IMS bearing as if it hasn't failed in 139,000 miles, it isn't going to fail. And for the price paid, I'd be willing to roll the dice and take the seller's word for the minor repairs from the "parking lot" accident.
Any well-maintained higher mileage 911 is going to be well-bought as the seller is not making out in the money game. But at least they enjoyed the car and kept up with maintenance as a good 911 owner should before passing the enjoyment on to another.
NOTEWORTHY SALES
- Remember that BRIGHT Blue leather interior in a delivery mile 2022 GT3 Touring from last week? Well, it looks like a neon blue interior isn't a selling point as the car failed to reach $250k.
- $27,000 for a 914 project!? Last I checked that was the price you'd pay for a running driver. It looks like what the bidder was really buying in the 1974 914 sale was the M64 engine from a 1995 911.
- The second 964 from GS Manufaktur has found a home for around the same price as the last, $260,000. Budget Singer build, budget Singer money. Still a very well-done car.
NEW LISTINGS
- When is a Porsche not a Porsche? When it's a RUF like this 2009 RUF Rt12 S listed on Bring a Trailer.
- Ending exactly 1-year after it last sold at auction, we'll see if this 1988 944 Turbo was a flip or flop.
- Make Green great again with this classy Rainforest Green Metallic over Savanna Beige leather 2001 911 Carrera 4 Coupe 6-speed.
