SYAO Creativity, the week of June 26, 2022

Hello, everyone!
Here's the latest edition of SYAO Creativity. Let's see what's been going on in the shop that'll inspire you!
STITCH (What I've been working on)
I work months and months ahead. I have to. I can't tell you yet what I'm doing, because it's the seed of an idea. But it's sprouted just a bit, and I've pulled the yarn. Stay tuned.
YOUR (What you've been working on)
Margaret brought in her shawl because she was running out of yarn at the bind-off. (We got her fixed up for that.) I didn't let her leave until I got a photo of the shawl. It's breathtaking. The pattern is from Stephen West. If you'd like to make one, stop by, and we'll fix you up with the pattern, plus chose all your favorite colors of yarn! Margaret said that the tutorials were excellent in this challenging knit.
ART (Inspired by art or nature)
The colors in Margaret's shawl remind me of this sidewalk art I saw the last time I was in Florida. It was done with chalk, and it was kind of hard to watch kids walking on it. But then, I guess the whole thing was very Zen--impermanence of art, and all that!
OUT (What's out on the shelves in the shop)
Just in! New yarn from Ancient Arts Fibers! I've never carried their yarn before. It's beautiful, and it squishes. I chose green, blue, and purple colors for the shop this time. They feel so serene. Maybe one of these would be inspiration for a shawl of many colors!
As always, make an appointment to shop or browse, or just to show off your stuff! I can't wait to see you!
