Hello, everyone!

Happy Monday! Here's what's been happening in the shop. Let's start out the week thinking creatively!

STITCH (What I've been working on)

A quick reminder that I'm teaching a knitting workshop in August. Information again for you; I'd love to see you there!! Everyone is welcome to sign up for the day, even if you don't belong to the guild. Here's the information:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

August 9  Centre Knitters Guild Workshop with Cynthia Spencer!   Spend the day knitting and learning with Cynthia Spencer, the designer behind Really Clear Designs and owner of Stitch Your Art Out, our local yarn store. This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your skills in two popular knitting techniques, intarsia and sweater design and construction. Choose to attend one or both sessions. Further info including cost and sign up here. Non-members are welcome. So bring a friend or two!

I FINISHED the block of the month this year, a little later than normal, but here we are now! I'm delighted with it. It turned out differently from what I expected. I was planning on a twin-bed size, but ended up adding four more blocks in the corners, which only took about 3 hours to cut and sew! Now it's about 100 square inches.

I like the turquoise sashing. If you're in block of the month and would like a finishing kit that looks like this, let me know this week, and I'll get it ready for you. Some of the fabrics we're using are getting low, so I need to know ASAP. If you'd like a kit for the whole quilt, and you're not in block of the month, let me know, and I'll get you caught up!

If you want to see it in person, come in today or tomorrow. I'm taking it to Barb Dann for quilting first thing Wednesday morning!

We have a number of classes starting this week! Tomorrow we have free-motion quilting in the afternoon, and fixing knitting mistakes in the evening, and how to do Fair Isle on Thursday evening! Lots of good things! Go sign up!!

YOUR (What you've been working on)

OUT (What's out on the shelves in the shop)

In my profession, I'm always thinking ahead. Here's some tweed for fall. If you start now, you'll have something ready for when the world turns cold again. (Sorry to remind you, but Christmas is coming!)

As always, make an appointment to shop or browse, or just to show off your stuff! I can't wait to see you!
