Hello, everyone!

Here's the latest edition of SYAO Creativity. Let's see what's going on in our creative world!

Before I get started with the regular stuff, if you're thinking about the April Raystown retreat, now's the time to sign up. Please check out what's going on by clicking the button below, and then call us at 814-238-4151 to sign up!

We can't do online signups because we need to get info from you such as an emergency contact, and which day you'll be arriving, and whether you're rooming with anyone. Only a few openings remain!

Retreat Info

STITCH (What I've been working on)

I didn't send out the newsletter yesterday, because we had a few small details to iron out (and you know this is the place to iron out things! har har!).

But now we can announce this year's Road Trip mystery shawl!

My buddy Valerie and I are not going to just one state this year; we're going to the Great Lakes! We'll be visiting 8 states, plus a Canadian Provence.

I'm excited beyond all comprehension that this year because we're partnering with the famous Manos del Uruguay yarns. Their yarns are stunning!

I have the Manos yarn kits in person at the store if you want to see them. Set up a time to do that!

I'll be doing all purchases as a preorder. To assure that you get your yarn in time to start when the first clue drops, you need to order by March 31. You'll have your yarn by April 29 when the clues begin. (April 29 is Local Yarn Store Day!)

Make an Appointment to see the kits!

Live out of town or hibernating? I have the Manos yarns available for preorder on the website. And if you want coordinating beads, those are available as well!

Buy the yarn and beads!

The pattern is on Ravelry. It'll be $4.98 until April 29, and then it'll start going up in price.

Buy the Great Lakes Pattern!

If you want to see a summary of everything that's going on as it happens, check out the Road Trip Mystery website:

I hope you'll join us!

YOUR (What you've been working on)

Joan's quilt is beautiful. I love everything about it, from the off-center design, to the color choices, to the quilting.

ART (Inspired by art or nature)

St. Petersburg, FL, had the most amazing banyan trees, right downtown! I'd never seen one before, and I immediately wanted to live in one of them! They look a little like they have dangling yarn. Yes to dangling yarn in a fairyland!

OUT (What's out on the shelves in the shop)

New colors of Zauberball! YUM!

As always, make an appointment to shop or browse, or just to show off your stuff! I can't wait to see you!
