YOUR (What you've been working on)

I love Ellen's sweater for her new granddaughter from Malabrigo Rios. She wanted hearts as pockets. I told her to find a heart chart, and to make each square into a stitch. I had full faith that she could do it, because she's been knitting a long time. (I love being right. Haha!) Happy Valentine's Day, sweet baby!

ART (Inspired by art or nature)

As many of you know, I was in Florida. It's good to be home, but Florida is endlessly beautiful. I'm going to be sharing lots of art or nature from there for a while!

Here's the first, from a beach near Clearwater.

You know, I've photographed things for years. But this day, I watched another photographer. He held his camera right over the water, almost getting it wet. Why hadn't I ever thought of that? When I tried this technique with my phone, I got this. It doesn't matter how long you've been doing something--there are always ideas you can get from others!

OUT (What's out on the shelves in the shop)

Did you know that the shop has fringe twisters? If you want to make a nice edge on a scarf, or create a decorative cord, these are terrific!
