As I watched the various video clips of No Kings marches all across the US I thought about the word Protest. Generally it means going against something.

But I began to see it more as going for something. Being a pro-ponent, pronouncing what you want, promoting, proacting, procuring change.

Putting our powers of creation and collaboration to use for the higher good.

Proclaiming something other than what we currently see and calling it into being. Bending reality.

Which is connected to why I teach people to bend spoons. To prove to people that we can. Not only can we bend metal, we can bend energy, momentum, opinion, moods, mountains.

I start with a spoon because it's pretty low commitment, low cost, and very direct.

I'm always careful to tell people in my SpoonBending Workshops that even if you never bend a spoon in your entire life, you're still a divinely empowered, energetic, capable of amazing things being.

Learning to bend a spoon is just one cool way to give yourself the experience and proof that it's really true.

Sometimes people who don't bend a spoon during the workshop just need a little different angle or environment.

One participant and her daughter bent their spoons right after the workshop:

"We turned on some Jonathan Goldman, moved ourselves in the Merkaba and had excellent results. As you can see, my little girl bent two in a row and one was so strong I was convinced it was not malleable. She picked it up and proved me wrong. :) LOL
