Hi folks,

Well, the cat is actually out of the bag already - and she's quite beautiful and large.

She still likes to play with spoons, though, and so do I.

Ok, that's not really news either, is it?

The metaphorical cat that is coming out of the virtual bag is below this photo.

You probably thought I was about to announce the next workshop, right?

Nope.

Although it is happening on June 19th at 4pm Pacific, that's not what I wanted to tell you about.

This is what I wanted to tell you. I have wondered over the last 8 years what to do with all those spoons ????????

Well, I was slow to catch on but it is a really logical progression from bending hundreds of spoons with mind and hand, and being a jeweler for 50+ years -

to blend the two.

That's the news. I am making spoon rings, fork rings, bracelets and gorgeous "medicine pouches" from the hollow bottoms of knives.

Beautiful, vintage, interesting. The rings feel good on your finger. Lynn says the wrap-around rings feel like a hug. The addition of uplifting and inspiring words stamped on some of the pieces adds more good vibes and reminders to live a magical life.

Here are some photos of what I've made so far that, at least as of today, are still available for sale. I can ship around the globe. I'll be posting all the photos on my Facebook page later this week, but here's a selection to whet your appetite. I can make rings to order with your choice of words and in a variety of finger sizes. Bracelets, too, and these metal pouches (they are my favorite) are available with custom-fitted cork tops so you can fill them with your magical herbs, gems, or scrolls, or with crystals and stones already added.

This new line of work is as affordable as the workshops are. The rings start at $25. The "medicine pouches" are $65. More cool things coming like mini windchimes, coat hooks and who knows what creative downloads are on the way.

Oh, and here's an idea. Get some pretty spoons at your local thrift store to bend at the next workshop (June 19th, 4 pm PT INFO/REGISTER),

and you can send them to me afterwards to make some jewelry out of them for you.
