Hi ,

Have you ever walked into a room… and immediately acted differently?

You’re not imagining it.

Environments cue behaviours—automatically.

You don’t need to think about it.

Your brain recognizes where you are, recalls what you usually do there, and runs that script on autopilot.

That’s great when the setup supports the behaviour you want.

It’s a disaster when the room is coded with the wrong routines.

Here’s what that looks like:

  • You try to work from your bed → But your brain associates it with rest → You get sleepy or distracted.
  • You try to read in your kitchen → But you remember the dishes → You end up scrubbing instead of studying.
  • You try to think deeply in a cluttered space → But your mind mirrors the mess → You lose focus before you start.

This isn’t a discipline problem.

It’s an environment problem.

Want better habits? Stop relying on willpower.

Start with better triggers.

Assign each space in your home a single use whenever possible.

If your space is limited, designate areas.

Even a small visual boundary—like a rug or a lamp—can help your brain create a mental zone for a single purpose.

Here’s what that can look like:

  • Bed → Sleep only.
  • Desk → Deep work.
  • Chair by the window → Thinking or reading.
  • Couch → Social or entertainment time.

When your body enters that space, your brain should know:

“This is where that happens.”

Action Step:

Take inventory of your main living spaces today.

Ask yourself:

  • What is this space currently “telling” me to do?
  • Is that the behaviour I want to encourage here?
  • What needs to be removed or added to send the right signal?

You don’t need to renovate.

You just need to realign.

Tomorrow, we’ll tackle a big one: noise.

Most people underestimate how much it drains their brainpower.

Until then,

Relentlessly dedicated to your profitability,
