đźź© Not every day is a power day

Hi ,

We can’t be at our best every day.

Some days are off.

Not tragic, not dramatic—just… off.

I’ve been sick the past few days.

My work’s been affected.

Gym? Nope.

Sleep? Weird and patchy.

It reminded me of a time years ago when I was training for a competition.

Lots of hours, lots of sweat, lots of pushing.

And eventually, an injury.

Then a cold.

Then sheer exhaustion.

I remember venting to my coach—frustrated that I couldn’t keep up with my plan.

He gave me a perspective I’ve carried ever since.

“We’re not machines,” he said.

“We’re biological. We have rhythms. And it’s stupid to expect machine-like performance every day.”

He broke it down simply:

There are two kinds of days.

The days you can perform.

You push. You train hard. You go full throttle.

And the days you can’t.

On those, the goal isn’t performance.

It’s recovery. Healing. Rest.

Just show up. Even a little.

Not for perfection.

But for consistency, discipline and, momentum.

That’s why this email is late today.

Normally, it’s in your inbox early.

But today is a “just show up” day.

So here we are.

Not the usual tempo.

But the same intention.

Now, I’m heading back to bed to rest and get better.

Until tomorrow.

And as always—

You can hit reply and share your thoughts with me.
