1-2-3: Decision Making
(Reading time: 1 min 32 seconds)
1 Idea
No decision is almost always the wrong decision. Not making a decision creates bottlenecks in life and work. Without it, we lose the opportunity to focus on what matters and what we can control.
No decision, no progress.
2 Questions
- Which one do you prefer? To make an imperfect decision and to have opportunities to adjust and adapt later? Or to lose the chance for taking a step and the future regret?
- How long do you think is the appropriate time between a decision and taking the first action?
3 Actions / Frameworks
- I am a big fan of Jim Rohn. In this 12-minute video, Jim makes some excellent points about decision-making and how fundamental it is to progress.
- Now that you have watched the video imagine you are talking to a group of 7-year-olds. How do you explain decisions, indecision, and consequences?
- One of the most important decisions we can make is living and working in our ZONE of genius. To live and work in the zone is based on several earlier decisions. Take this 2-minute quiz to get a snapshot of where you are now and what you can do to improve.
