Max Brenner didn’t just make good chocolate.

They gave me stories I wanted to tell.


Like:


  • The Hug Mug — a teardrop-shaped cup that fits perfectly in your hand
  • The chocolate syringe — playful, unexpected, Instagram-worthy
  • A menu with Peter Pan and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland references and childlike fascinations
  • A tagline that made me smile: “Chocolate by the bald man”
  • The bill in a beautiful tin box that read: “Money for life, chocolate for the soul”


Every detail was a conversation trigger.


That’s what most businesses miss.

They think “word of mouth” just happens.

But stories don’t spread unless you give people something to talk about.


Want to be referable?


Then ask yourself this:


What’s one moment in your customer journey that’s so intentional, so delightful, so different — they can’t help but tell someone?


Build that.

Repeat that.

Protect that.


In a noisy world, what gets shared wins.


And that wraps the series.
