Hi ,
He came to the call frustrated.
“I don’t get it,” he said.
“I’m doing everything right — I ask questions, I listen, I coach… but they’re not converting. What am I missing?”
We unpacked one of his recent calls.
And it was clear within five minutes.
He was doing too much.
He was giving too much.
And he was doing it all too soon.
The conversation started casual, meandered into questions —
But they weren’t diagnostic. They weren’t strategic.
They were… exploratory.
Then, as his prospect mentioned a few challenges, he jumped in to help.
He coached. He offered insight. He even shared a full framework.
By the end, his prospect felt grateful — but not committed.
A little more informed, but not ready to buy.
And definitely not clear on what the real problem even was.
That call?
It was free coaching.
It made him feel valuable.
It made them feel better.
But it didn’t move the sale forward.
Because here’s the truth:
When your conversation has no structure — no through-line — your prospect doesn’t feel the weight of their problem.
And when you give away the solution too early, you relieve that pressure before it can convert into action.
So they leave the call a little more aware, a little more satisfied… and still not a client.
He was solving problems they hadn’t fully felt yet.
And because of that, he never got buy-in.
He thought value = conversion.
But in reality, value without structure = free labor.
There’s a better way to guide these calls —
One that builds clarity, urgency, and alignment without giving everything away.
