🟩 Adversity isn’t always the enemy

Hi ,

A few years ago, I got hit with what felt like a major setback.

A partnership I’d poured months into suddenly fell apart.

No warning. No clear explanation. Just... gone.

At the time, I felt embarrassed, frustrated, and honestly, a little lost.

I kept replaying everything I could’ve done differently.

I felt like I’d failed, not just the deal, but myself.

But here’s what’s wild.

That very collapse opened up space I didn’t know I needed.

Space to experiment with something new.

Space to finally say yes to an idea I’d been shelving for years.

And what grew from that?

It didn’t just match the old opportunity, it surpassed it.

Looking back, I can’t separate the “good” from the “bad.”

They were entangled, like Yin and Yang.

Adversity didn’t block the opportunity.

It was the opportunity, wearing the wrong costume.

So now, when something falls apart, I don’t panic as much.

I still feel it, but I also stay curious.

Because not everything breaking is a breakdown.

Sometimes, it’s a breakthrough.
