1-2-3: On Focus
1 Idea
- Since early childhood, we have been told how important focus is, and we need to sit down and concentrate. But we haven't been taught how to focus. Have you ever been taught how to focus?
"People think focus means saying yes to the thing you’ve got to focus on. But that’s not what it means at all. It means saying no to the hundred other good ideas that there are. You have to pick carefully. I’m actually as proud of the things we haven’t done as the things I have done." - Steve Jobs
2 Questions
- Is there a switch to simply turn on the focus?
- What if it was possible to increase, guide, enhance, or strengthen your focus? What if you could use specific tools and techniques to enhance your focus? Well, look no further …
3 Actions
- Have you heard of the Pomodoro Technique? (quick read)
- Your Focus Muscle (video, 60 seconds) - The One Muscle You Never Knew You Needed To Train (1-minute watch or read the article on Forbes.com)
- Get this desk timer to work in short and concentrated sprints, and watch your Focus Muscle getting stronger every day. (no affiliation)
What types of similar resources or tools allowed you to do more focused work? I want to know. Hit reply and tell me about them.
