Your business needs a blue Bic pen

Hi ,

I have a confession to make.

My absolute favorite pen is a blue Bic.

Not just any pen. Not black. Not gel. Not fancy rollerballs. Just those simple, plastic, blue Bic pens.

Years ago, I realized they were perfect for me—the weight, the ink flow, the way they glide across the page.

So now, when I walk into a store and see an overwhelming wall of pens, I don’t waste a second deciding. I just grab my pack of blue Bics and move on.

Total freedom.

Which is funny, because most people think commitment is limiting.

That choosing one thing means giving up too much.

But the opposite is true. Commitment isn’t a cage—it’s a shortcut. A path. A way to stop overthinking and start moving.

It’s the same in business.

When you commit to serving a specific type of client, you’re not cutting yourself off from opportunity—you’re eliminating distractions.

You stop chasing the wrong people, stop diluting your message, stop trying to be everything to everyone.

And when the right people come along, they know instantly: You’re for them.

No hesitation. No second-guessing. Just an easy yes.

So if you ever feel like niching down will box you in, just think of a blue Bic pen.

It’s not for everyone.

But for the people who love it? It’s the only choice.

>>> To implement

If you’re feeling stuck on who you really serve, here’s a quick way to get clarity:

1- Who are your absolute favorite clients to work with? The ones who get the best results and make work feel effortless?

2- What’s the biggest, most painful problem you solve for them?

3- If someone were to describe what you do in one sentence, what would you want them to say?

The clearer you get, the easier everything else becomes.

You got this!
